Modesty is not just liberating from the male gaze, Modesty is not just liberating from the male gaze, it's also liberating from brands, advertisements and the constant messaging that you are NEVER enough. Buy this Mascara, lose ten pounds, wear that dress and you will be happier, prettier, more feminine, blah blah blah. The reality is we as women are enough without embellishments and adornments that eat away at our wallets, self esteem and ultimately pollute our planet.

I still struggle in this area for sure, but the less I participate in worldly femininity, the more I feel at peace, abs that's what matters.
Lately I’ve had to remind myself: being somewher Lately I’ve had to remind myself: being somewhere else in my mind makes me miss the beauty right in front of me.

Homemaking isn’t just chores and checklists, even though it feels that way. It’s a holy rhythm. A quiet offering. And when I slow down enough to be present, I hear the Father whisper into the small things.

Here are 3 ways I’m leaning into presence as a homemaker, straight from Scripture:

1. Start your day with intention – “She looks well to the ways of her household…” (Proverbs 31:27).

I take a moment before the day begins to ask, What does my home need today? What does my heart need to give?

Not only does this help me be productive, it helps me to also prioritize so that I don't attempt to "get it all done".

2. Serve with gentleness – “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” (Proverbs 31:26).

Whether I’m folding towels or settling little hearts, I want my words to match my hands—gentle.

It's easy to be hardened when we are pouring into others all day with little receiving or recognition. This is where intentional gentleness becomes paramount.

3. Let your hands follow your heart – “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

I’m learning that wholeheartedness in small tasks plants seeds of peace in my home.

And these seeds produce the kind of fruit that will impact my family for generations, even if I can't see it right now.

Being fully present is one of the greatest gifts we can offer our homes, daily and Maker. And it's also the greatest gift we can offer ourselves.

The grass isn't greener. You ARE making the best use of your time, right at home. Your gifts ARE being used and you WILL be compensated, beyond measure.

Stop wishing you were doing something more exciting, and just enjoy the little things.
