Women, especially housewives, are constantly quest

Women, especially housewives, are constantly questioning where we fit in and how we’re appointed by Yah according to His Word.

In Scripture we see men lead nations, herd flocks, redeem families, offer sacrifices, build cities, command armies and everything in between. Great things for men.

But in Scripture we only see women doing things that hundreds of years later society says women should be evolving beyond:

Such as homemaking, bearing children, hosting and entertaining, and “worst of all” following men’s leadership.

We’ve lost touch with how critical our role is. Hence the constant questioning,

“Am I doing enough for Yah?”
“Am I putting my gifts to good use?”
“Couldn’t I be doing more than homemaking?”

But the Word and Yashua’s message is clear:

There is no greater telltale that you have a true relationship with The Most High than that you are a lover, through and though.

“Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”
‭‭- 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬ ‭

He doesn’t say that offering lambs or wearing fringes or being circumcised is how people will know we are His.

He says it’s by having love. And if you are able to do that in your marriage, your home, your family and abroad, then why fret over the finite matters? What could be greater than this?

I remember first showing a maternity pic to a frie

I remember first showing a maternity pic to a friend a few months ago and her first reaction was “OMG Asha you are flat as a washboard! I didn’t know you were that small!”

My first thought was ouch 🥴 my second thought was “Okay she really just said that.”

My third thought was “Am I really?”

From the ages of 13-17 I had an eating disorder. It started when I began to obsess over my appearance. I have never been thick or curvy by any means of the word, and as an Israelite, that sucked because it’s like being curvy was highly expected of me.

When I realized I would never be curvy, I decided to lean into being smaller… by getting smaller. But of course like any obsession, you’re never truly satisfied.

It didn’t matter how much weight I lost, when I looked in the mirror I still saw someone who needed a diet.

Nothing has triggered my body dysmorphia quite like being pregnant. People are always commenting on your body, asking about your nutrition, wanting to know your weight. And it doesn’t help that when you walk past a mirror, you are indeed visibly bigger.

I have lost count of the amount of times I’ve said to myself during this pregnancy “I can’t wait to lose this weight.”

But according to others, who’ve seen me in a less modest state, the only weight I have to lose is the baby.

This is where Modesty comes into play for me. Ever since deciding to be more modest, I obsessed less about my appearance and started focusing more on overall health.

Modesty has helped me to be less vain and less concerned with what other people think, but I’m not going to lie: this pregnancy has been a challenge for me as someone who struggles to see reality when they look in the mirror.

The friend who made the comment doesn’t know this about me, and I think she was just surprised but had good intentions.

Now I’m back to covering religiously 😂 and protecting my mind from the urge to “snapback” postpartum. May The Most High’s will be done. If that means me gaining weight then so be it. If not, okay!

I’m learning to just be okay in this body no matter how it looks. He says I’m made in His image, fearfully and wonderfully. That’s slowly but surely becoming enough for me.

I really struggled to submit financial control and

I really struggled to submit financial control and authority to my husband during our courtship. He was adamant that he would be my provider, but because of the unhealed wounds I had from the past, I couldn’t trust him nor submit in this area.

It’s sucks because there he was, willing to provide anything I needed. And yet, all I could wonder was “Does this man have ulterior motives? Is he going to end up wanting repayment? Is he just going to stop out of nowhere and leave me high and dry if I get too comfortable?”

This wound of distrust and fear of depending on him led to some devastating consequences, but mainly that I would wait until the last minute to share my needs….

A day before the bill was due, a request for a new item once the old one was trash even though I saw it deteriorating for weeks, etc… I was always putting him in uncompromising positions due to shame and the idea that I wasn’t worth it. It’s like he had to pay for sins he didn’t commit. Even though he was showing me I was worth it and that he would keep showing up no matter what!

Now? Now I just say it. Whatever I want or need, I make it plainly known. Do I always get it 😂 I wish. But I’m no longer robbing my husband the opportunity to do the job he wants to do, nor robbing myself of the chance to be loved the way a man wants to love me!

Unhealed wounds are one of the 3 mentalities mainly keeping Israelite women SINGLE! Sister Valencia let me pick her brain regarding this topic, and I know she’s the right sister because she’s hosting an all-inclusive retreat for unmarried sisters in their waiting season! I wish I’d had her when I was single, I definitely would’ve foregone so many mistakes! ✨ she is so wise and so necessary for the single Israelite woman whose preparing for her Kingdom husband!

The only time you’ll see a niqabi having fun outside is when the temperature is below 55 😂 #maternitypics by hubby. He did such a great job! I wanted to be in the snow, and I love the way they turned out! Baby #2 coming soon, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be growing my tribe. Thank You Yahuah El Elaha 🤍
